2 October 2017
The LIFE SMART Waste project featured in an ‘ignite’ presentation at the 4th International Environmental Crime Conference at the University of South in Cardiff on 12 September 2017.
This year’s conference theme was Environmental Crime and Technology, and keynote speakers included Professor Reece Walters (Queensland University of Technology), Professor Tim Boekhout Van Solinge (Criminal Law and Criminology), Dr Anita Lavorgna (University of Southampton) and Dr. Federico Magalini (United Nations University, Institute for Environment and Human Security).
The conference showcased leading research that highlights the intersection between Technology and Environmental Crime. In particular, it focused on the way technology is used to facilitate and perpetrate environmental crime and respond to its challenges.
